Mst. Nur Nahar (24) lives with her husband Md. Minazur Rahman (30) at Omar Majid union in Rajarhat upazila, Kurigram district. She has one daughter and one son. They don’t have any cultivable land, even leased land for cultivation. During the lean period, Nur Nahar had to work alongside her husband and also offer door-to-door domestic service in order to make ends meet. But despite Nur Nahar's best efforts, her hard work was not enough to fulfill family needs. Now, they are looking for income-generating activities (IGA) support to increase income that’s why they need approximately BDT 8000 for goat rearing.

If anyone gives me small support to establish income generating activities (IGA) it will help to change my life’’ said Mst. Nazma Begum 47-year-old married woman, her husband’s name is Md. Nur Islam an extreme poor man lives with her three children under Muktrpara, Balakandi village at Omar Majid union at Rajarhat upazila in Kurigram district. Lack of education and poor access to income-generating activities make them more vulnerable. It was manageable when it was just the two of them but even since they welcomed their three children into the world, the family expenses had increased day after day. They had to resort to eating one to two meals per day to tackle the situation. In this situation, she has been planning to engage in income-generating activities to support her family for bring a better life. She wants to engage with goat gearing, and for this purpose needs approximately BDT 10000.
