Ms. Jahanara Begum, aged 55, is a widow residing in Kaikori, a village located in Omar Majid Union under the Rajarhat upazila of Kurigram district. When her son was only six years old, her husband, Md. Abdul Baten, unfortunately, passed away. She has no permanent income source and she works as a seasonal day laborer. She is currently seeking assistance for livelihood support to improve her current circumstances. At the outset, she required a sum of BDT 10,000 to initiate goat rearing as a means of generating income.

Mst. Hasna Begum is 61 years old and a widow. She lost her husband, 11 years ago and was left alone with her only daughter to take care of. Now she lives with her daughter at Purbo Pathak Para in Chakirpasher Union and makes little to no income. She is living with uncertainty and is very vulnerable economically. Also, due to her age, she struggles to make enough income to fulfill her basic needs. She prefers to begin goat rearing instead of doing daily hard labor if she gets cash support to secure her future. She appeals for BDT 7,000 to start goat rearing as an income-generating activity.
