Rina Begum, a 55 years old housewife, resides in Bairagipara, a village in the Omar Majid union of Razarhat upazila in kurigram district. She along with her husband Ajak Ali, has faced constant challenges in meeting their basic needs, especially in terms of food and other necessities. However a turning point in her life when she received financial support of BDT 4000 from Noriba website as a zakat fund. This support motivated her to explore opportunities for generating income for her family. After careful consideration, she decided to venture into rearing Black Bengal goats on a small scale and purchased a goat from local vendor.
Over the course of one year, Rina’s determination and hard work paid off as her number of goats steadily increased. This not only provided her family with an additional source of income but also improved their overall quality of life. Her journey is an inspiring example of how, with the right support and determination, one can overcome adversity and financial instability.
